Accessibility statement

Last updated : 1 October 2026

This English version is for information only. The Dutch version is the authoritative text. Toegankelijkheidsverklaring

In short

  • We build okiatech.click toward WCAG 2.2 level AA and do not claim a badge.
  • Report a barrier at [email protected]; we reply within 2 working days.
  • The Dutch text is authoritative; this English page is for information.
  • The studio in Oud-West is visit-by-appointment; call or write if you need extra time or help on arrival.
  • Market surveillance for the European accessibility rules on services sits with the ACM.

1. Purpose of this statement

Okiatech B.V. wants visitors to use okiatech.click with a keyboard, assistive software or a custom display, and wants anyone coming to the studio in Amsterdam to know the route in advance. This page states what we aim for, what we cannot yet prove, and how to tell us about a problem.

It covers the public pages of okiatech.click in Dutch and English: the home page, about, services, the five service pages, the guides, FAQ, contact and the legal documents. It does not cover third-party operating systems, browser bugs or files you upload yourself.

2. Legal frame

From 28 June 2025, digital consumer services in the Union fall under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), implemented in the Netherlands by the Act implementing accessibility requirements for products and services. A website where you can learn about a service and send a request may be in scope. We treat those requirements as our working line, even where the exact reach for a small recording studio can be debated.

As a technical yardstick we use WCAG 2.2, level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549. We have not commissioned an external audit and we display no conformity mark. This text is not a certificate. If the two language versions differ, Dutch prevails. Who publishes the site: see the legal notice.

3. What we aim for on the website

When we build okiatech.click we look after:

  • a skip link to the main content;
  • pages with one logical heading tree and a unique page title;
  • keyboard use, including a visible focus;
  • alternative text on the mood photographs;
  • form fields with a visible label and an error that exists as text;
  • a language switch between Dutch and English;
  • no information that lives only in colour or only in motion;
  • links that name their destination, for example vocal recording or the privacy policy.

The cookie banner has three equal actions and can be dismissed with the keyboard. Your choice stays 182 days under oktc_consent_v1; see the cookie policy. Contrast and type size follow the WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds as far as the design allows. We do not claim full conformance.

4. Known limits

We know of these limits and either work on them or offer a workaround:

  • Mood images are generated. The alt text describes the scene; it is not a transcript of a real session.
  • Price tables — for example €695 for a full band day or €295 for an EP master — may scroll sideways on a narrow screen. The same amounts appear in running text on the service pages.
  • The contact form goes through FormSubmit. If that service is down, e-mail or call.
  • We do not offer a sign-language interpreter on the site and we do not auto-generate sign-language video.
  • PDF quotes we send after intake sit outside this HTML site. Ask for a plain-text version if a PDF stalls in your assistive software.

If you find something that is not listed, tell us. A report is not an admission of liability; it helps us repair the page.

5. The physical studio

The studio is in a canal house at Eerste Helmersstraat 42, 1054 DG Amsterdam, Oud-West. Visits are by appointment only. Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00–21:00, Saturday 10:00–18:00, by appointment only. Route: Tram 3 or 12 to Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat, then about four minutes on foot. Tram 1 or 7 to Leidseplein, then roughly eight minutes via Overtoom. Bike rack in front of the building.

We do not describe a lift, a level entrance or an accessible toilet here, because we do not present those as established features. If you need extra time on arrival, a quieter part of the day, a seat close to the control room, or help with instruments through the porch or stairs, say so when you book. We will see what is practical in the 3 rooms — live room 38 m², booth 10 m², control room 22 m². That is not a promise that every adjustment will work.

A session for someone under 16 is booked by a legal guardian. If you have questions about sensory load, breaks or a shorter block, write before you lock a €320 four-hour vocal block or a band day.

6. Feedback and response time

Report a digital or practical barrier through:

Name the page, the browser or assistive software, and what you expected. We reply within 2 working days. Maarten van der Berg is the contact. Postal address: Eerste Helmersstraat 42, 1054 DG Amsterdam.

7. Supervision

For accessibility of certain products and services under the European rules, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets is competent. Information: acm.nl. Personal data stays with the Dutch Data Protection Authority; see article 9 of the privacy policy. We have not named a dispute board or a mediator in this statement, because Okiatech B.V. has no contract with one.

8. Status and updates

This statement was drawn up on 1 October 2026 and updated on 1 October 2026. We review it when the site changes substantially or when a statute or standard requires it. Rates and process rules — 35 % deposit, 2 revision rounds, 9-month archive — live in the terms and on services, not here.
