Built for recording together
Okiatech has been an independent recording studio in Amsterdam since 2017. We focus on music and spoken word: bands playing live, singers and rappers in the booth, mix and master for releases, plus podcast and audiobook work.
Three engineers run every session themselves. Whoever prepares your quote sets the microphones and delivers the files. One thread from intake to delivery.
The rooms
Live room, 38 m²
Space for up to 5 musicians at once, with a view of the control room and individual headphone mixes.
Vocal booth, 10 m²
A compact booth for vocals, rap, voice-over and narration — dry enough for detail, not stuffy.
Control room, 22 m²
Treated so what you hear is close to what you get at home; linked to live room and booth.
Gear in brief
We work with 12 microphone preamps and professional conversion. Which microphone fits depends on voice or instrument — we discuss that in intake.
Mixing and mastering use the same control room; detail per service is on services and on vocals, band, mixing and mastering.
Getting here
Eerste Helmersstraat 42, 1054 DG Amsterdam (Oud-West). Tram 3 or 12 to Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat, then about four minutes on foot. Tram 1 or 7 to Leidseplein, then roughly eight minutes via Overtoom. Bike rack in front of the building.

Three engineers, one contact
No call centre: you talk to the engineer who plans and runs your session.
Public rates
Every amount is published excl. and incl. VAT; every session gets a written quote.
Your rights stay yours
After full payment for the service, recordings made for you are yours. See also terms and conditions.
Clear revisions
Mixing includes 2 revision rounds; extra rounds are agreed and quoted upfront.
